At the beginning of every new year, conversations inevitably turn to interior design trends. While colours, materials, and styles evolve, some things never lose their appeal. Quality, longevity, craftsmanship, and classic detailing remain as relevant today as they were generations ago.
With this in mind, Ecohardwood is introducing Victorian-style oak doors: Palace and Palace View. Made from 100% engineered solid oak and assembled using traditional frame-and-panel joinery, they provide superior stability and an authentic heritage appearance.
The difference between the two models is simple. Palace doors features a classic solid-panel design without glazing, making it ideal for a more traditional look and greater privacy. Palace View includes glass panels, allowing natural light to flow between rooms or, if preferred, more private glass options — all while retaining the same elegant Victorian styling.
Palace View doors are available with a wide range of glazing choices, including clear, frosted, and decorative glass. You can also select from multiple glazed panel layouts, giving you full control over the balance of light, privacy, and visual impact in your interior.
You can also customise the doors with different configurations, including single doors, double doors, sliding doors, and pocket systems.
We very proudly supply what we manufacture, and like all our oak products, Victorian-style internal oak doors are made using only high-quality, eco-friendly, and non-toxic materials. They are 100% European, with each door crafted to deliver outstanding performance and long-lasting quality. What else can you expect:

Victorian oak doors are a natural fit for a wide range of homes, from period properties to modern interiors that seek warmth and character. Defined by their classic four-panel design, strong proportions, and solid oak construction, they bring a sense of architectural integrity and timeless beauty that never feels dated.
In traditional Victorian and Edwardian houses, these doors preserve the original character of the building, complementing high ceilings, decorative cornices, and heritage detailing. In contemporary homes and renovations, they provide a striking contrast to clean lines and modern finishes, adding depth, texture, and a feeling of craftsmanship. They also sit beautifully in country houses and classic interiors, where natural oak and timeless design create a calm, refined atmosphere.
Wherever they are used, Victorian oak doors introduce elegance, authenticity, and a lasting sense of quality.
The right door hardware is essential to the final look of a Victorian-style door. A well-chosen door handles can either highlight the door’s historic character or give it a more modern edge, helping to define the atmosphere of the room. With the right handle, a Victorian-style door can be tailored to suit any interior — from classic heritage homes to contemporary and country-inspired spaces.
Period and Heritage Interiors
For traditional Victorian or Edwardian homes, classic materials and familiar shapes create an authentic feel. Finishes such as polished or aged brass, black iron, pewter, and porcelain reflect the craftsmanship of the era. Handles like the Olivari Denver sit beautifully on four-panel doors and complement decorative mouldings, architraves, and other heritage details.
Classic Knob Handles
Door knobs are ideal for homeowners who want a true vintage look. Their rounded form enhances the structure of panelled doors and adds period charm to spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways. Options like the Olivari Melanzana work equally well on painted and oiled oak doors, offering both elegance and authenticity.
Modern and Contemporary Interiors
Victorian-style doors also suit modern spaces when paired with sleek, minimalist hardware. Brushed nickel, satin chrome, and matte black finishes create a striking contrast against traditional door profiles. Handles such as the Olivari Icona are especially effective with painted doors in neutral, bold, or monochrome colour schemes.
Rustic and Country Homes
For cottages, farmhouses, and relaxed rural interiors, warmer finishes bring out the beauty of natural oak. Bronze, antique brass, softly curved levers, and wooden knobs add depth and character. Artisan designs like the Olivari Atena are perfect for creating a welcoming, lived-in feel.
