DARK OAK FLOORING

From subtle hints of mahogany to the blackest black – Ecohadwood Ltd engineered dark oak flooring collection will suit everyone's taste.

Dark hardwood is timeless and classic, but you can easily blend it into a contemporary interior and style it with modern furniture. Because of its versatility, this type of engineered oak flooring is a common choice between the UK and overseas customers.

How to style a space with dark oak flooring

You have probably already seen various design ideas online for matching the other colours, furniture and accessories in a room with dark hardwood floors.

Thinking of what shade of paint to choose for the walls? There may be infinity, but let's narrow it down. First, we recommend skipping pitch-dark colours for the walls because you already have dark oak flooring installed. The space may look too moody, especially if there is not much natural light coming in. Rooms in many traditional UK homes tend to be relatively small already, and dark colours make such rooms look visually smaller. Your best bet would be good old pale and grey shades to create a nice and sophisticated look with dark wooden flooring. It can be anything from off-white, ecru, ivory, eggshell, white, beige, greige etc. If you think simply painting walls is boring, wallpaper options are limitless.

Dark hardwood flooring and furniture

Once you have floors and walls done, it will become easier to visualise what shape and form of furniture you wish to buy. If you go for pale walls and dark hardwood flooring, you can continue building up space in monochrome details, such as furniture and accessories or bring a subtle touch of colour. For instance, dark navy shelves, sofas or chairs would make a room look nicely vibrant. You can always play with smaller accessories, such as vases or flower pots if you don't want colour furniture.

Wooden chairs and tables will also go perfectly with dark oak flooring; they don't necessarily have to be the same shade as the flooring. However, lighter tones of wooden furniture would look classier.

To complete the whole image, depending on how big of a space you have, we suggest adding a small or medium size rug. It especially works nicely in a sitting area or simply under a coffee table.

All of the accessories may be bought from online suppliers and in-stores, where you can find plenty of both cheap and expensive costing items.

Ecohardwood Ltd engineered dark wooden flooring is top quality and hardwearing, but just like any other item in your house needs care. Along with maintenance on a daily basis, we recommend using felted pads on the furniture to avoid scratches.

Produced in an eco-friendly manner, the flooring is suitable for all the rooms throughout the house: kitchen, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, hall and others.

A wide range of engineered oak flooring

Besides a vast variety of colours, Ecohardwood engineered oak flooring selection includes dark shades, such as Brown Coffee,  Ebony, Deep Black, Antracite,  Antique and rich brown tones, such as Cognac, Walnut, Dark Chocolate and Rosewood. We aim to offer the most suitable colour for every individual.

Our company also offers flooring in different thicknesses: 14.5mm and 18mm. The selection of different plank widths includes 120mm, 145mm, 185mm, 220mm and 235mm.

Although you can choose your hardwood flooring in sanded, brushed, and cross-brushed surface texture, the dark oak floor looks best when brushed. It gives the surface a nice texture and makes the richness of the colour beautifully pop.

If you have a large, open space blessed with natural light, parquet patterns such as chevron or herringbone will look exceptionally stylish and add value to your property. We also offer various dimensions for the patterns.

Finally, if you are looking for a classic design parquet flooring, we can suggest herringbone flooring in 85mm x 425mm, which we have freshly added to the selection.

Lastly, Ecohardwood Ltd offers four oak grades: character, original, select and prime, depending on how much of a natural wood character and knots you expect on the floorboards. Image-wise, they are different but represent the same quality.

We used Ecohardwood flooring for our new loft conversion. The process from start to finish with Mantas and all the team was smooth. We also purchased doors which complete the room. We are delighted with the outcome and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.
We were on the hunt for the perfect Chevron oak parquet to match our Parisian-style home, and we’re so glad we found you guys! The colour, the quality – everything is absolutely spot on. The customer service was fantastic too – friendly, helpful, and super professional. Big thanks from our whole family (including Shrek, our very spoiled British Blue cat)!
I recently worked on my kitchen showroom and chose EcoHardwood for the flooring. They have a beautiful new showroom, and I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality and variety of colors they offer. The team were extremely informative and knowledgeable, and they helped me make the best choices. Love my DUNE colour! The entire project turned out wonderfully, and I’m very satisfied with the results.
I bought the floors for 1 of my project. They look amazing, worth every penny. The client is so happy with this flooring. Next projects will suggest to my clients to get this floor. Easy to install...One of the staff which I deal with ( name Renata ), was really helpful. Thank you Renata. Definitely recommend this flooring.
We recently purchased Ecohardwood engineered oak wood flooring in the Tobacco colour and we couldn’t be happier. The quality is excellent – well made, with a beautiful natural finish. We installed it throughout the whole house and it has completely changed the look and feel of the space, giving it a warm, modern and very natural feel. We did apply a premium hardwax oil, which enhanced the tone and added extra protection. We are extremely happy with our choice and would definitely recommend this floor to anyone looking for great quality and a timeless look.
